Last updated: this is a first draft, not reviewed by a lawyer yet -- treat it as a good-faith starting point, not a finished legal document.
The short version
crabflip has no user accounts and no analytics or tracking script installed as of this writing. Your bankroll figure, tracked plays, and filter settings live only in your own browser's localStorage -- they never leave your device. The only things we store server-side are listed below: waitlist emails you choose to give us, and Lounge chat messages you choose to post.
What actually touches a server
- Market data requests go straight from your browser to Polymarket's public API -- we don't proxy or log them.
- Live score requests (Lounge tab) go through one small server route that forwards your request to ESPN's public API and returns the match -- this exists only because ESPN blocks direct browser requests (CORS), not to collect anything. It doesn't store what you asked for.
- Wallet connection and orders -- if you connect a wallet, your address and any order you sign go directly from your browser to Polymarket's own infrastructure via their SDK. We never see your private key, and we don't operate a server in that path at all. Orders placed through crabflip carry crabflip's Polymarket builder code, which attributes the trade to crabflip and applies crabflip's builder fee: 0.5% of the order amount from October 10, 2026 (see the FAQ).
- Waitlist. If you join the crabflip pro waitlist, we store your email address, the time you joined, and the page you joined from. It's used only to tell you about crabflip pro and is never sold or shared. Ask via contact and we'll delete it.
- Lounge chat. Messages you post in the Lounge chat are stored (the most recent 200) so other visitors can see them, along with the wallet address shown next to them and the time.
- Standard hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) logs basic request metadata (IP, timestamp, path) the way any web host does, for operating the service and catching abuse. We don't separately collect or analyze this.
Third-party embeds
The Lounge tab can embed Twitch, Kick, or TradingView content for markets you've tracked. Each of those loads its own iframe under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies -- that's between you and them, governed by their terms, not ours.
If that changes
If we ever add accounts, a real database, or analytics, this page gets updated first, with a real explanation of what's collected and why -- not silently.
